A fresh start can mean even more when you have a comfortable place to sleep, a table to gather around, and the everyday essentials that make a new space feel like home. Through the GL Homes Good Night’s Sleep initiative, we recently partnered with Mary & Martha House, which has helped women and families move forward from domestic violence and homelessness toward safe, independent living for more than 40 years. One of their clients, Wendy, a mother of two, was preparing to move into a new home with her children and needed furnishings to help make it comfortable for her family. With support from GL Homes and Mary & Martha House, Wendy selected children’s beds, a sofa, coffee table, linens, kitchen essentials, décor, and more. Additional support provided a kitchen table and chairs, along with a new bed for Wendy.

For this family, these everyday comforts represent so much more than furniture. They provide a place to rest, gather as a family, and begin building a new chapter together with a greater sense of stability and home.
