In honor of Hunger Action Month, GL Homes highlights its ongoing commitment to fighting hunger and supporting local communities across Florida. For more than 40 years, GL Homes has contributed to nearly 2,000 Florida-based charities, with initiatives that include hunger relief, housing, education, health, and family services.

Among our top philanthropic programs is The Lord’s Place Meal Mobile, created and sponsored by GL Homes. The Meal Mobile, a 42-foot Bluebird bus, was converted into a mobile kitchen and engagement center to assist the unhoused. The GL Homes team contributed more than 500 volunteer hours to purchase and convert the bus from a mobile command unit into a food truck and engagement office. GL Homes employees assisted with concept development, equipment selection, kitchen design, interior architectural design, exterior graphic design, and obtaining city permits. This initiative delivers over 1,000 meals each month to individuals in need in Riviera Beach and Belle Glade.
